The Ontario chapter of the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Associations is part of the national non-profit, federally chartered corporation dedicated to promoting professionalism and education in the field of permanent hair removal. The Ontario board is made up of the following members:


Stephanie Hoogasian, Chairperson

Stephanie Hoogasian has been the longstanding Chairperson for the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Association Ontario Chapter since 2009. She graduated from the Electrolysis program at the Canadian Aesthetics Academy in 2005 and completed the theoretical and practical training in Electrocoagulation in 2006. In September 2010 she also trained with Clarion Medical technologies in Laser Hair Removal. She’s known and trusted in the St. Catharines community for the excellent, personal care that she gives her clients.


Elizabeth Hodder, Vice-Chairperson

Elizabeth Hodder is a certified electrologist and medical aesthetician with more than 25 years of experience. She became a member of the Canadian Federation of Electrolysis Association (Ontario Chapter) in 2014 and in 2017 took on the position of Vice-Chair. In this role, she acts as a spokesperson for the Association and is proud to share her passion for electrolysis and skincare with students in the accredited programs as well the value of professionalism, networking, and continuous education. Elizabeth is invested in continual education in order to offer the latest in technological advancements in electrolysis. She is committed to raising the standards for electrolysis and skincare and providing a high standard of professional ethics, conduct, and practices.


Denise Ferri, C.P.E., Treasurer & Membership Secretary

Denise Ferri has been a member of the FCEA Ontario chapter since 1996 – just 22 years!! In that time, she has held a number of Executive positions including Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Membership & Treasurer, and on occasions, when required, she has filled in as the National Representative and Recording Secretary. Denise received her CPE designation in 2000. She values membership in the association, which has brought her many benefits including educational, product, and equipment updates, referrals via the website and other members of the association, networking opportunities with suppliers, electrolysis schools, etc. and many long-term friendships.


Alexandra Goyette, Recording Secretary

Alexandra is a certified electrologist and medical aesthetician. Alex studied electrolysis at the Caruso International School of Electrolysis and graduated with honours in 2015. She has been working with North London Electrolysis and Laser in London Ontario ever since. She specializes in electrolysis and is also trained in micro-needling, laser tattoo removal, laser hair removal as well as a number of other specialty medical aesthetic treatments. Alex joined the FCEA in 2015 and recently joined the board in the position of Recording Secretary and looks forward to working closely with the other board members.


Laurie Ramsay, National FCEA Board Representative

Laurie Ramsay has been a Certified Electrologist since 2011 and a Certified Esthetician since 2012. She has been a member of the Federation of Canada Electrolysis Association – Ontario Chapter since 2013 and began her role in the position of “National Representative” for the FCEA – Ontario Chapter in 2017. She is very honored and excited to represent the Ontario Chapter at both the Provincial and Federal Levels. Laurie believes that “everyone should continue to educate themselves in our industry, in order to elevate the standards of our profession, thus, empowering us to offer the best service and value for our clients.”
